{{helpme}} What is the "right" method in Wikipedia to answer Mikhailov Kusserow's welcome message ? Ellen Kearns (talk) 09:04, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there is any right way, to be honest. It's quite likely that Mikhailov Kusserow has your talkpage watchlisted. However, it certainly wouldn't be a bad thing if you were to drop by their talk page to say thanks! (Oh, and welcome from me, too!) TFOWR 09:12, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to User talk:Mikhailov Kusserow, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You copied massive amounts of texts to multiple user talkpages - please don't (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:43, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just wanted to be polite and answer to Mikhailov Kusserow's welcome in the way indicated by TFOWR in his message above. I'm finding rude being labeled a vandal! Because I have not copied anything to multiple user talkpages, and only try answering to people who have written to me. So, please, tell me what is the "good" method in Wikipedia to answer a message? By the way, I'm visually impaired, not able to read texts with too much colors or fonts, and using the largest size of characters possible. So, maybe, it is possible that, even using the "Preview" command, I may not have seen what the result was on Mikhailov Kusserow's talk page. I hope my text is adequate and, this time, does not contain hidden defects. Ellen Kearns (talk) 12:41, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like you accidentally copied a whole load of text on our talk pages ;-) I understand the background here, so I realise it's not vandalism, but for an innocent bystander like Bwilkins it's not so obvious! I'm not sure how you managed to do what you did, but what I do is click on the "+" tab at the top of the page to create a new section. Try it on my talk page - I won't mind if you make a mistake. For me, it seems to be just First Great Wikipedia DramaIN ;-( Thank you again for your messages :-)) Ellen Kearns (talk) 13:13, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
