Maher was a member of the band Flannel Jimmy which toured nationally and was signed to Nettwerk Records. Flannel Jimmy bandmate Ryan Stewart was nominated and won Juno Awards.

His music is in rotation on the CBC airing nationally. Play logs here and here.

The Vancouver Is Awesome and Georgia Straight articles also indicate he meets 7. as someone who's noteworthy in Vancouver both as host of the Anza Club Open Mic Night and as a loop artist.
