Problems[edit]

Please refrain from creating inappropriate pages such as Percy Nobby Norton. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. --ArmadilloFromHell 07:15, 2 November 2006 (UTC), Recent changes patrol[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --ArmadilloFromHell 07:26, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing speedy tag[edit]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself. If you continue to remove them, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --ArmadilloFromHell 07:32, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Percy Nobby Norton[edit]

OK, you put a hangon tag on the article. So what is your reason for wanting this article to exist? Let's start with the ridiculous picture for starters. If you're just goofing around, fine, you've had your fun, let's not waste any more of my time, OK? If this person exists please cite external references . Herostratus 07:38, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I saw an argument somewhere. OR isn't grounds for speedy deletion. You know that. i kan reed 07:43, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you're just yanking my chain I'm gonna be hella annoyed. Herostratus 07:48, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Information on minor Australian artists of any kind is hard to gather. I am doing my best and spending a lot of time on this article. It has only just begun, allow it time to develop. There's nothing insulting or factually incorrect on the page so it should be fine whilst I gather information. Enknowed 07:52, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Signing talk pages[edit]

When you sign a talk page, instead of typing your name out, you can use four tildes ~~~~ to automatically place your name and the time. Just thought I'd help you out.

Regarding your Percy Nobby Norton article, the speedy deletion was probably placed unfairly. The article has grounds for deletion because it lacks sources, speedy deletion is, however, reserved for articles lacking redeeming quality. Consider finding sources and adding them as descriped on this page. It will help article quality in the long run.

Happy editing, i kan reed 07:43, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The speedy deletion was because it appeared to be a nonsense article. That was because it failed to provide sources and was accompanied by a contemporay photo, yet the subject was from a hundred years ago. Other than an explanation that the picture is of an actor, nothing has changed. --ArmadilloFromHell 07:56, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

give the article a chance. Im still tracing info on percy norton. the picture acknowledges the efforts of an unknown artist who has been inpired by Norton's works. Enknowed 08:14, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not recreate speedily-deleted material. This is considered vandalism and can lead to you being blocked from editing for a period of time. (aeropagitica) 08:19, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Create your article in your user space, like User:Enknowed/Percy Nobby Norton and then ask someone to review it. Otherwise, you're likely to be banned before long. —Wknight94 (talk) 16:39, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note also that someone has a version here User:Silentbob4477 --ArmadilloFromHell 16:41, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User:Silentbob4477 is likely to be banned before long as well. His userpage is going to WP:MFD pretty soon if things remain the same. My sock and troll detection system is getting a little jumpy... —Wknight94 (talk) 16:57, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe the same person - with all the hassle with this article it would not surprise me. --ArmadilloFromHell 17:06, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

nah, im not the same person as silentbob4477 but he is a friend of mine. Enknowed 08:22, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A Few Questions[edit]

Since I'm new to all this Wikipedia editing, would someone be able to intruct me or direct me to instructions on:

i) requesting a review of a page under my user (ie Percy Nobby Norton)

ii) archiving my talk page Thanks, Enknowed 08:36, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've forwarded your review request to the admin who closed the original AFD. For archiving a talk page, see WP:ARCHIVE. —Wknight94 (talk) 12:57, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stop[edit]

Would you and you friend/sockpuppet please stop being disruptive. I can have anything reasaonable in my user space, it's not an article. --ArmadilloFromHell 15:11, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Then please apply that same "Law of Armadillo" to me and my mate. Equality on part of yourself and other administrator would be much appreciated. Loyal users of Wikipedia such a Silentbob4477 and myself are on the same societal level as you are and do not appreciate being treated as if we were peasants in an "Admin Monarchy" named Wikipedia. If you can place articles such as the Moonberry one in your user page we would like the ability and right to have Percy Nobby Norton in ours. Enknowed 15:17, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not an article, it's a draft of an article created by someone else, that I kept for historical/archive reasons in connection with speedy deletion of the original article. See Wild Moonberries which now redirects to Moonberry for the current version. --ArmadilloFromHell 15:25, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't got my point. You said: "I can have anything reasaonable in my user space". This means that I can have reasonable items on my user space such as the factually correct Percy Nobby Norton article. Your last comment only reinforces the fact that I and Silentbob4477 are correct in our actions in relation to articles on our pages. The Moonberry thing is not an article and neither is Percy Nobby Norton. At least we have cooperated on the point that it (Nobby Norton) should not be made an article yet. Secondly you state "that I kept for historical/archive reasons in connection with speedy deletion of the original article." Please allow Silentbob4477 and myself the same liberty. I ask only that you abide by what you state in your previous two comments on my talk page and refrain from slanderous comments such as claiming Silentbob4477 to be my sockpuppet. Enknowed 15:33, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser has confirmed that you and Silentbob4477 use the same local ISP which has dynamic IP addresses, but I believe your editing pattern (like the fact that you were able to edit while he was not) shows you aren't the same person. Silentbob's block was implemented because of his constant personal attacks, retaliation, and his pushing of the Percy Norton hoax -- something you would be advised to drop -- while contributing almost nil to the encyclopedia. Mangojuicetalk 14:25, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The reason for this is beacause we both use the same ISP. Using editing patterns to link two users together can be done to claim any two users as the same person. You have blocked his IP from creating new accounts and editing outside his userpage. Therefore how am I able to do these things if we are the same person. Please drop this farcical suspicion and pursue someone other than myself who is acutally using Wikipedia properly. On another note, I am no longer pushing the "hoax" but the real story of Nobby Norton which I am thouroughly researching before posting. Enknowed 14:34, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note that what Mangojuice actually said was, "but I believe your editing pattern shows you aren't the same person". However, this: User:Enknowed/Silentbob4477 is not indicative that you are using Wikipedia properly. — Matt Crypto 14:47, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've now deleted that page. I suggest you don't recreate it unless you want to join Silentbob4477. — Matt Crypto 14:56, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Indef block[edit]

Indef blocked for trolling and likely sockpuppetry. For details see Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Silentbob4477 and current AN discussion. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 16:23, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please Unblock[edit]

We are not the same person. Just because we share the same interests and views and are good friends doesn't mean that you can block me as well. I have not vandalised Wikipedia or made personal attacks. One item that you have failed to notice in your conclusion that we are the same person is that we have been logged into Wikipedia simultaneously countless amounts of times over the past few weeks. Therefore we cannot be the same person. We share the same local ISP IP because we live in the same region as each other. Please do not punish me for the actions of another user. I do not condone his vandalism or personal attacks. I am here for reasons other than creating mischief. I tried to pursue the Nobby Norton case but have given that up as the subject is not relevant to anyone here. Please unblock my account, I do not appreciate being punished for someone else's actions or false accusations. I request that you review my case and come to the truthful conclusion. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Detective mag.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Detective mag.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 19:51, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
