Original research[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Poker dice, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please note that http://boardgamegeek.com does not qualify as a wp:reliable source, and that a phrase like "These may be the same dice that...'"" doesn't even appear in that source. This is an example of wp:original research. - DVdm (talk) 08:27, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK, fine. I was only trying to help. Maybe I should have used a phrase like "Koplow Games sells a similar set" I notice you also removed the link to the manufacturers website - is that also not a reliable source?
Also I notice you removed the links to the separate 12 sided poker dice as well.Escribblings (talk) 15:11, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you can add a short note of that kind, with the source. Just make sure you don't write anything that is not present in the source. And avoid making it look like an ad. Cheers and happy dicing. - DVdm (talk) 15:22, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Re-edited - I have kept the links to BoardGameGeek as this site clearly shows pictures of the sets.Escribblings (talk) 17:35, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, can live with that. Thx. - DVdm (talk) 18:50, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
