Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you added new information to I Walk the Line—we thank you for doing so, but in order to satisfy our verifiability policy policy, we need to know from which sources you got that information. Just adding a link to the article next to your addition would be all right, or you could put it in the article's discussion page. If you need any help, feel free to ask me at my talk page. Thanks!

Yes, it's well known that Cash had a drug addiction problem, but could you please find an interview where Johnny Cash admits that or any 3rd party reliable source that states the song was about his addiction? You're basing that assumption on your personal intepretation of the song lyrics which conflicts with Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy. You can also start a discussion on the song's talk page if you know of other people who can substantiate this statement for you. --  Netsnipe  (Talk)  07:08, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re - your message on my talk page: Since you have not substantiated your claims of a connection between cocaine and the song Walk the Line, please do not edit this article to state as such. You may add a section in the talk page until you have a reputable published source to back up your claim. Reverting these edits is not vandalism, as you stated on my talk page, for the reasons I mentioned and Netsnipe stated above. If you have additional questions about this topic, please feel free to leave me another message. Hope this clears things up a little. ~~ Meeples 07:14, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Meeples - Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers. "Blatant" is a bit harsh (which I've now retracted) since this isn't outright vandalism quite yet, but POV pushing by a newcomer. Eva you need to understand that Wikipedia is a community and that the only way to reach a consensus is by providing proof. --  Netsnipe  (Talk)  07:29, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Eva, I've started a discussion at Talk:Johnny_Cash#I_Walk_the_Line_and_Cocaine and if a consensus is reached by other editors, then your statement can stay. --  Netsnipe  (Talk)  07:34, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
