License tagging for Image:HSCRS logo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:HSCRS logo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:08, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

I saw the part of this article where you credited yourself as a source. While you may be a good source of information on the subject, Wikipedia specifically does not allow posting of your own research/experiences that have not been published elsewhere. Take a look at the policy Wikipedia: No original research. Thanks, JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 04:11, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jeremy,

As the organization's historian and event announcer, creator and person responsible for creating and maintaining the organization's original website, and a former board member that was involved in the establishment of the organization's rules for competition and car qualification, I would hope that I have some in-depth knowledge that would qualify me as a reliable resource for the article. I have added references to the HSCRS founder and president, John Davis, and that of Mike Cesario, HSCRS Director of Sales and Marketing, who requested specific changes related to bylaw changes in my most recent edits, much of which has also been published in flyers and press releases from the HSCRS. If it is simply a matter of me removing myself as a reference based upon my position as the person creating the original article or making the changes as needed, then please let me know and I'll remove myself as a reference accordingly. Thank you, Falloonacy (talk) 15:38, 18 April 2010 (UTC) Don Falloon[reply]
