Hello. A tag has been placed on Farid ghoreyshi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. September 2016[edit]

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Farid ghoreyshi. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Farid ghoreyshi[edit]

Hello Faridghoreyshi,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Farid ghoreyshi for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Cotton2 (talk) 09:55, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for using Wikipedia only to repeatedly post a self-promotional page. You were told that continuing to do so would lead to being blocked from editing, and, knowing that, you chose to continue. Wikipedia is not a web host for holding personal web pages unrelated to work on building the encyclopaedia. If your purpose is to write a personal web page, then you would be better advised to use one of the many web sites which do provide that sort of service, such as a social network site or a web hosting service. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 10:36, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Email request for unblock[edit]

  • I have read your email. Communications about Wikipedia between editors should normally be made on Wikipedia, so that they are transparent to the Wikipedia community, with email being used only when there is a good reason to keep information confidential. Since there is nothing in this case that needs to be kept confidential, I am replying here. Even though you are blocked, you can still edit this page: we don't normally remove talk page access from a blocked editor unless he or she has a history of abusive or disruptive misuse of talk page access while blocked.
  • If you would like to start contributing to Wikipedia on topics other than yourself, then follow the instructions above on how to request an unblock, replacing the words "Your reason here" with an explanation of why you think unblocking you will help the project to build the encyclopaedia. If you are to stand a good chance of being unblocked, that explanation should give an indication of what sort of editing you expect to do. That doesn't have to be terribly detailed, but it does need to make it clear to the administrator who reviews your unblock request that you intend to contribute to the encyclopaedia, not to use Wikipedia to tell the world about yourself. Also, do take the advice given above to read the guide to appealing blocks before posting an unblock request.
  • One more thing. If you are unblocked, my advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start.
