George Harrison stated that he was born February 24. It is in some of the links. Rockhall, etc. I read his claim for February 24. I edited with the links. I kept checking. His grave says February 25. I edited it back original. You can check his information. He said his birth date was February 24. He did not tell the truth. I corrected my edit. J.D. Cooper

Hi, I noticed that you've been adding a lot of external links to articles. If you don't know already, there is an external links policy that essentially says to make sure that any external links you add are unique and especially relevant. Generally it's better to add content to articles rather than links. Thanks for your contributions and welcome to Wikipedia. Wmahan. 02:41, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I think those links are unique and relavant. I'm sorry that not everybody agrees. I do searches every day for discussion group posts. I find many other links that I don't want to add. I think the links I add help to tell the whole story.

I am not a writer. I don't often plan to write an article. I don't know much about using a computer. February 21,2004, I started making daily birthday posts on free music groups. Free. I do searches for some famous people born on the date. I don't get any money for this.

When I find biographical information, I post it to groups. When I started using wikipedia, I added links that seem to have good biographical information. Something like a wrong date, as verified in the links, I try to correct. I haven't considered my posts to be spam and I don't have a personal connection. I find information in those links.

Tell me if you don't want me editing. Delete me, if you want to. I don't know how to contact anybody there. I am really confused, now.

What is wrong with the shakin_stacks and youtube links? They provide knowledge about the person and they are not spam?

I found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockabilly_Hall_of_Fame - http://www.rockabillyhall.com/ . Bob Timmers spent his own money starting this to promote music. I like it. I found http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/RaB-HoF/ . I started posting and reading. This is all free (FREE). On Feb.21,2004, I started posting a daily music discussion message of birthdays. The groups where I post are original rock and roll fans, but I add some others. I leave out those who are promoted on the regular distribution system and are wellknown in the tabloids right now. The groups are good and let me do that. The messages are supposed to be original rock and roll sound (rockabilly). I was a volunteer radio programmer June 1986 - July 1999, 13 years. I'm not that big for the birthdays, but I want to remember good music people at least once a year. I am a fan and I love it. This is my biggest message I have ever sent and it was Sept.23. memphisjd@bellsouth.net

why. I forgot to add this note. Tom Parker didn't want Scotty
Moore and Bill Black around. He left them small paychecks. On
September 22,1957, they quit. Elvis was totally controlled by
Parker. He kept Elvis making those sappy movies with awlful songs.
Elvis didn't rock after the Army.

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Fifties! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bangelfire\.com\/, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. I didn't see another way for me to reply. I don't have any sites. I am a music fan and I search for music information every day. I post birthday information on music groups. When I saw the angelfire link was broken on wikipedia, I just tried to correct the link somebody else posted. I will just take it off if there is a problem with it. I think it is a good link. The mp3 links were not anything useful and I did remove them. Mp3 let them go out. Thank you. JD or fifties.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bob Timmers, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.rockabillyhall.com/BobTimmers.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Bob Timmers

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Bob Timmers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Lennie Hayton, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Otis Blackwell. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. MarnetteD | Talk 22:39, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:41, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
