Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Filipbudd, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Too Much Water (video game), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Too Much Water (video game) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 06:24, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How can I keep the Too Much Water Wiki page open? Filipbudd (talk)
You've violated a number of Wikipedia policies.
You removed a speedy deletion tag from an article you created. This is not allowed.
You failed to disclose your conflict of interest with respect to the article you created. As the creator of the game, you would be deemed to fall into the category of PAID editors and a disclosure on your user page is required by Wikipedia's terms of use. Please see DISCLOSEPAY.
Your article does not appear to have any independent references that could be used to establish notability. Without such references, there cannot be an article. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 08:04, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
didn't mean to remove the speedy deletion tag, I simply updated the article. My apologies for that. I have added some sort of disclosure at the top of this page. Is this sufficient? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Filipbudd (talkcontribs) 09:35, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No need for a new {{help me}}. You could have re-enabled the earlier one.
Ideally, the disclosure should go on your user page, not your user talk page. But it's probably sufficient. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 10:05, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Brookswood Secondary School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. It's a really bad idea to attempt to add yourself to a list of notable people. Meters (talk) 23:51, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Brookswood Secondary School ‎ shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
You and various IPs have been trying to add your name to this list of alumni for nearly three months. I will ask to have you blocked next time. Meters (talk) 23:59, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please temporarily block the other IPs from adding my name as those are not me. At some point they will lose interest in trying. I have no control over them and have asked them to stop on many occasions. Thank you. Filipbudd (talk) 03:55, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nice try, but you have attempted to add yourself eight times using this named account, including just a few hours ago [1]. Did you forget that you were logged in? Don't attempt to add yourself again. Meters (talk) 04:28, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure if you check the IPs, they are most likely around the area of that school. I admit the one from a couple hours ago was me as a follow-up to something I was asked to do from the person who had access to my laptop last quarter, who had insisted on adding me there. I can send you proof via email if you care enough. Filipbudd (talk) 06:12, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Really? Someone who had access to your laptop insisted that you add yourself to the article? My WP:AGF is done. You attempted to add your self to the article just a few hours ago. The last attempt anyone made to add your name to the article prior to that was more five weeks ago [2], and it was also by your named account.
Don't send me anything. Just stop trying to add your name to this article. And please don't attempt to write an article about your apparently non-notable game, or request that someone do it for you. If you have no interest in Wikipedia other than to mention yourself or your game you probably shouldn't be here. Meters (talk) 07:03, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable. Ouch. If I'm not supposed to send you anything or explain further, I am more than welcome to dropping the matter :) (Just a side note, if I find something is wrong with a page, I'll make an edit in the future, but obviously all I'm really good for here is grammatical errors. I'll take this a lot more serious.) Filipbudd (talk) 07:37, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
