Speedy deletion nomination of Chinict

A tag has been placed on Chinict, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:CHINICT.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:29, 14 September 2009 (UTC). Thanks for the quick feedback. However, I still cannot find where and how I can solve the problem. In other words, I cannot find where I could give the correct source, the license and the fair use rationale for each of the images. I have put the image with the correct source and license on the wikipedia commons (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CHINICT.pdf) - but for some reason, I am not able to use it in the wikipedia article. Image problems

You will need to go to each of the images cited above and fix all of the issues that are listed on those pages - and do it on the page itself, not here; give the correct source for the image (website), the license, and the fair use rationale for each of them. disruptive editing

I have reversed your undoing of my edits to CHINICT, and I have again explained, in each individual case, why these edits were made. You have failed to substantively addressed the issues, which in many cases are very basic. They concern grammar, they concern the suggestion that the page is nothing but advertising, they concern valid issues raised by other editors. Removing templates, for instance, without actually doing something to the article that would alleviate these concerns, is bad manners and constitutes disruptive editing. This is a friendly piece of advice: rather than simply reversing or striking an inappropriate tone in edit summaries ("What is it you still not understand?"), address the issues. Thank you. Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to CHINICT, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. For some reason, in the very article, you have not been able to visualize that I had actually already taken into account your previous comments regarding basic and semantic edits. I will therefore redo these edits taking into account again most of your comments on basic grammar and semantics. Hopefully this new editing of the article will now address your concerns. I did not mean to strike "an inappropriate tone" in any ways (BTW, in my last editing, I had already rephrased the explanations regarding "chinization"). The companies mentioned are just the backers of the conference as well as of the phenomenon of "chinization" and are not meant to be promotional in any ways (realistically none of the mentioned companies needs additional promotion as they are all very established entities). As a matter of facts, the different references accompanying each company name, feature relevant information I invite you to consult if you have time - as they clearly establish the notability of the topic of the article. FYI, the only one reason why I decided to write this article was to answer a very large number of requests enticing me to do so. Although I am not familiar with Wikipedia and not an English native speaker (as you may have understood by now ;-)), I am doing my best to make it appealing and interesting to the Wikipedia audience - even though it has already taken far too much of my time and energy. Regarding those "explain" templates, simply removing them is not the way to go. If these are linguistic problems, ask someone else if you don't know what is being asked. I see now you've changed 'event' to 'conference' and that is a start, although it does not yet explain enough: is there a private company whose sole mission, so to speak, is organizing this conference? If you want an article to remain, it is a good idea to have a short, to the point, and factually supported article, rather than produce something that (by now) half a dozen different editors have problems with--and not address their issues. Articles here are (usually) built by cooperation, and policies and guidelines are adopted by consensus. The editors who have remarked, in various ways, on the article are not out on some personal vendetta--their objective is to make the encyclopedia better. When, for instance, policies are cited to support an editor's actions, it is a good idea to acquaint yourself with those policies--and, in light of a few of my own last edits, that means, for instance, a look at WP:RS. On the same subject, Basically the reasons as cited by the editors at the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CHINICT page due to lack of notability of the subject but especially and also in some areas it looked like an advertisement (when I reviewed the article on the deleted version). Seems it was a good consensus even though I would have hope for more discussion, but no other people seem to be trying to save the page from deletion in that discussion other then yourself. --JForget 01:09, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
