Speedy deletion of FRP tanks and vessels

[edit]

A tag has been placed on FRP tanks and vessels, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

not notable

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Oniongas (talk) 10:29, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Frpcad, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

There is a page about the verifiability policy that explains the policy in greater detail, and another that offers tips on the proper ways of citing sources. If you are stuck and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

One should use sources when creating new articles, as you did with BS EN 13121-3, or adding new content to Wikipedia. Please see WP:V. Thanks. -Shootbamboo (talk) 04:58, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nowadays, when I create an article, I play around with it for a while on my userspace, see this one User:Shootbamboo/Perfluorooctanesulfonyl_fluoride I'm working on. You could do the same in your WP:USERSPACE. There's no need to start things with obvious shortcomings that go against our policies, that weakens the encyclopedia, in my opinion. Thanks. -Shootbamboo (talk) 05:08, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding a source! =) More are needed, in my opinion. Thanks again. -Shootbamboo (talk) 17:03, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spam and COI

[edit]

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.

Please read conflict of interest as you have been adding links to book sales pitches on websites similar to your username (such as frpdesigns). Vsmith (talk) 17:45, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Western India Plywoods requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
