I would like to make a suggestion. I don’t know where else to send it but I feel especially compelled, due to my strong feelings about the scientific method. Your article on YouTube has almost no mention of the vast conspiracies that it pushes with its algorithms. This is very troubling because our society is having trouble discerning where the truth lies within our seemingly endless sources of information. There are millions of videos about the earth being flat and something needs to be done about it. I have always used Wikipedia and have given to your site when asked in the past. I also defend Wikipedia every time someone tells me that “anyone can edit an article” or “it’s not real information”. I always tell them that your site is maintained by some of the hardest working people online and that they can actually trust the articles. This is precisely why I must strongly suggest that your article on YouTube begin to contain the truth behind their disastrously influential platform using an algorithm that suggests videos to people based on viewing time, without any regard for truth. Please look into this and keep this site one that truly seeks the truth! I admire Wikipedia and I hope to continue trusting it as a reliable source for information. I know you’ll do what’s in the best interest of the people and maintain a commitment to assuring that science, and not baseless conspiracy, is heard! Thank you! You don't really seem to be requesting assistance, just making a suggestion. Suggestions may be made at the Village Pump. I can say that Wikipedia is not about the truth per se, but what is verifiable. Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources state and provides those sources so readers can judge them for themselves as to what is "true". 331dot (talk) 11:41, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
