More draft pages

[edit]

Hi GT! To create more draft pages all you have to do is go to your browser's address bar and type http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:GT67/DRAFTNAME. Instead of /DRAFTNAME put in your page title, such as /comparisontable. To create the page just click on the big link that says start/create this page and make/save any edit to start the page. Let's talk later today. Ocaasi t | c 15:53, 1 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I replied with a question at WT:MED. Best. Biosthmors (talk) 20:54, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings again

[edit]

I saw your draft User:GT67/articlehypertensioninscotland. I know it's a mock up, but I wanted to comment. =) I'm not sure Wikipedia would accept such geo-centric diagnosis and treatment details. We like WP:SS and if there are any specific deviations in the Scottish guidelines, I could see a point of mention that, in summary style. But at first glance my impulse is to say it is too specific. Why not try to pick a potential GA for 2013 that is a top 500 medical article? Best! Biosthmors (talk) 19:30, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. I'm unaware of any officially recommended databases/tools like that. You can see if any are mentioned at Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources_(medicine)#Choosing_sources. I've seen some talk, maybe in the archives of WT:MED where Doc James mentioned some databases (TRIP, maybe?). As for the GA goals of WP:MED, I've made WP:MEDGA2013. Please list there. =) Thanks! Comment on Global Project

[edit]

Hi, I'm Doc.mari from Italian Wikipedia. I've just read your post on it:Discussioni Progetto:Medicina and I'm not sure it's a good idea, first of all for the risk of excessive geo-centric style (I see someone has already linked Wikipedia:SS). Then I see from your userpage that you are working for a pharmaceutical and I wonder if this has something to do with the project you are going to create. Sorry for my English :) Have a nice day, --Doc.mari (talk) 23:02, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I am a little skeptic about this kind of cooperation. Even if there is no potential conflict of interests, I wouldn't ask volunteer users to collect data for a pharmaceutical company. Furthermore, I don't know if en.wiki has a specific policy about "commission-based" editing, which is not so well accepted by it.wiki's community (but also by our policies, see it:WP:COMMISSIONE). Thank you anyway, I hope to see your contributions in the main namespace soon. --Doc.mari (talk) 19:48, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
