Deletion sorting (2)
Thanks for your deletion sorting efforts, much appreciated. Is there a script or tool I can use to save you the bother on my nominations? Cheers, Bigger digger (talk) 00:06, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- There are script tools available at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting#Scripts and Tools. I use John Vandenberg's delsort.js (setup instructions here) which is based on Twinkle. • Gene93k (talk) 01:15, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks - I'll move this to my talk page for my reference. Cheers again, happy editing! Bigger digger (talk) 01:25, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
SYNICAL band history page created by european fans up for deletion
I am including your name in arbitration to stop Chase me ladies, I"m the Cavalry from deleting the article SYNICAL which features simple, fan-based information about the group's history and current activity. Delsort tool ?
Do you use a tool or script of some kind, to list AFD deletions under WP:DELSORT? -- Cirt (talk) 17:27, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
- I use delsort.js, which is based on Twinkle. • Gene93k (talk) 18:10, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
I tried to use it multiple times. It just gives an orange error message saying it does not recognize the names of the article. Thoughts? -- Cirt (talk) 18:46, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
- Which browser are you using? I get a similar message when I try using delsort.js on Opera. I normally use Firefox. I forgot to mention that - sorry. • Gene93k (talk) 19:26, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
- Ah okay thanks, will try it with Firefox. -- Cirt (talk) 21:33, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Nomination for deletion of Template:Volusia County Roads
Gene, I need your help. I saw you crossposted discussion of a deletion for a related topic. Could you do the same for this template, please? Nomination for deletion of Template:Volusia County Roads. I'm not familiar with all the crossposting codes. Thank you. Gamweb (talk) 01:47, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
AFD Closure?
Hello! You closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sites of interest of Kansas City, but I'm not sure what happened--it doesn't look like it closed properly. Please take a look. No need to reply to me or on this page, I'll see it in the watchlist. Thanks!--Paul McDonald (talk) 04:39, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Do you think you could add this to an engineering related whatsit? It could do with a bit more input from people with knowledge of the field, I think. I'd do it, but I don't know how or where... Cheers. Peridon (talk) 11:52, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. Happy whatever you celebrate to you and yours. Peridon (talk) 20:44, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- The article on Dean, Smith and Grace has no substance and it is very unlikely that it will attract sufficient interest from historians capable of expanding it in any meaningful way. This is especially true now that the article’s solitary graphic has been removed by the Wikipedia deletion squad. The whole issue of deletion appears to revolve around the determination of a small band to keep a couple of sentences that basically say ‘Once there was a company called Dean, Smith and Grace that made lathes. Now there is another company called Dean, Smith and Grace Lathes that make lathes.’Weiterbewegung (talk) 18:27, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Project Deletion / bands & musicians
I see that the band The Boxing Lesson has been added to this list - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Deletion_sorting/Bands_and_musicians I dont see why this was flagged. This band has a 7 year history of music, 3 EP and 2 LP, the last one distributed by Interscope Records. Its a very informative site and I know I update at times, my interns and sometimes the band. Its a good resource for a band that gets a lot of press.
The band's wiki page has 19 references, and when you check Google "the boxing lesson, austin" - you will see how active they are online. Also the band is active in terms of playing, has played festivals like SXSW, has toured the nation multiple times, worldwide distro on their last album, played the esteemed Daytrotter and is relevant and current.. I ask that you take this band off this list.
All the best,
Ryan C

Do restaurant reviews count as "significant coverage" of the reviewed restaurants?
FYI, I started a thread on this question at the Notability guidelines. --Lambiam 08:36, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
