Removing Speedy at Cloud atlas (film)

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Cloud atlas (film), a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 10:33, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi. Welcome, again. I have declined the speedy deletion nomination, because that reason did not apply, but I have proposed the article for deletion - formal notice below - because according to Wikipedia's rules it is too soon for an article on this film. The notability standards for films are explained at WP:Notability (films), and the section on Future films includes: "Films that have not been confirmed by reliable sources to have commenced principal photography should not have their own articles, as budget issues, scripting issues and casting issues can interfere with a project well ahead of its intended filming date." IMDb says this film is "Expected to shoot this summer." The general principle is that as an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is not a crystal ball and should not have articles about things that might happen. The links in the Welcome section above will tell you more about contributing. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 12:55, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Cloud atlas (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Too soon - fails WP:NFF as shooting is not expected till summer.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JohnCD (talk) 12:55, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bay Films requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Gavin.perch (talk) 00:12, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Parkes/MacDonald, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of The Adventures of Tintin:Secret of the Unicorn, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:57, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Men in Black III. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 13:49, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
