Hello Geospatial John, I thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, The State of Non-timber Forest Resources in Nigeria, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The State of Non-timber Forest Resources in Nigeria.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

@MicrobiologyMarcus:,
I appreciate the heads-up and your honest review, I will very much work on the article to improve it because the article is not completed and its obviously my first. I intend for it to add to knowledge, so I'll appreciate it if deletion is suspended a little while longer, but if after the adjustments and corrections it is still not fit, then it should be deleted.
thanks

Reliable sources

[edit]

I notice you use a lot of reference on Nigerian forestry articles. That's in general good, but you're also adding tons of citations to predatory journals, which are not reliable sources and shouldn't be used on Wikipedia.

Don't ignore the warnings that tell you to not add these sources. You can additionally check WP:UPSD and install scripts that let you know if sources are bad or otherwise questionable (see the disclaimer at the top of that page however). Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 04:15, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to The State of Non-timber Forest Resources in Nigeria. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because consensus appeared at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The State of Non-timber Forest Resources in Nigeria to incubate it in draftspace. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. EggRoll97 (talk) 20:11, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I'll work on it and see that the necessary corrections are made, as soon as am done, I'll submit it for review.
thanks Geospatial John (talk) 20:45, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
