July 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm TAnthony. I noticed that you made a change to an article, White Walker, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — TAnthonyTalk 22:35, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ggbmbr, I am going to assume that you are just mistaken rather than deliberately adding incorrect material to Wikipedia. Please do not do what TAnthony and AffeL have been encouraging you to do. I am sure you can find a lot of "reliable sources" that consistently misspell "White Walkers" as "Wight Walkers", but this is a mistake, and it's easy to see how they came to it. "White Walkers" (in the books mostly called "Others") and "wights" are different, but related, groups. The former is a race of humanoid creatures with blue eyes, white hair, glimmering armour and so on; they are not "dead" nor are they "zombies", but they do have the ability to raise corpses of humans and other animals as zombies called "wights". The confusion is pretty clearly demonstrated in the three Screen Junkies videos I linked here, but you shouldn't get suckered in by clumsy entertainment sources that make such mistakes.
Anyway, I don't doubt that reliable sources that include the misspelled "Wight Walkers" could be located, but please don't waste your time doing so. On Wikipedia, we don't generally note such errors in sources unless the errors themselves have been discussed as errors in third party reliable sources.
