Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Tym Avi". The reason given for Tym Avi's block is: "Disruptive editing".

Decline reason: We don't permit meat-puppetry either. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:16, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@JamesBWatson: I go to school with the operator of the account User:Tym Avi. He is actually sitting right next to me right now in the classroom. I edit ghost town articles and such and I wondered what Tym Avi was that he was editing, so I added a few changes to it. I don't really care if it was real or not, because that was up to the admins to guess. I had nothing to do with this besides adding a References with a Reflist template, and bolding the first Tym Avi, as with Wikipedia proper syntax.--GhostTownsMapper (talk) 17:11, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason: I'm more comfortable letting the autoblock stand until it expires. None of your editing is "pressing"; you can still edit from home presumably. only (talk) 22:39, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Ohnoitsjamie: How is this a case of meatpuppetry if I never campaigned for its inclusion or anything? The operator of Tym Avi said that he really did find it in a book and such, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. And so now I'm considered a "meatpuppet"... I know the policy and, correct me if I'm wrong, meatpuppetry is where you get people to do stuff with you for bad purposes and faking a consensus. That never happened. I don't see what the problem really is here. I'll be editing at home if the autoblock goes away, otherwise, I'll just wait out the block. If I were a meatpuppet, wouldn't I have been contesting the deletion and all that? I simply figured, "Well, if it is fake, then the admins will remove it. Otherwise, at least make it look nice and proper." Was this the wrong way to go about it? I don't understand why it wasn't at least softened to a block not affecting other editors. After all, this means the whole school or maybe even a decent chunk of the district is blocked from Wikipedia editing. --GhostTownsMapper (talk) 19:25, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Arrived back home around 5:00, so it is no longer a problem, at least until tomorrow.--69.223.187.36 (talk) 02:52, 15 January 2016 (UTC)--GhostTownsMapper (talk) 02:53, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

AN/I discussion

[edit]

If you want to comment on the AN/I discussion about your block, you can leave your comments on this page and someone will copy them over. Huon (talk) 19:12, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like consensus is to unblock this account... unless there's another one that you'd prefer to be unblocked instead? ~Anachronist (talk) 20:46, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, didn't see you were here first, didn't mean to step on your toes. I had the same question below. --Floquenbeam (talk) 22:06, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock pending, but need to discuss first

[edit]

I'm assuming you're checking this talk page. Per my closure of the ANI thread, I'm prepared to unblock. But first, which account do you want to use going forward; this one, or the User:TZLNCTV one? --Floquenbeam (talk) 22:05, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Floquenbeam: I guess I'll go back to my original account, User:TZLNCTV, for account transparency reasons. I apologize for the late response as I had seen how the AN/I thread stalled for a while, so I left for a while and came back and checked today, and saw it had a response. --GhostTownsMapper (talk) 17:42, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'll unblock TZLNCTV. Leaving this account and any other sock accounts blocked, but since you've used this recently I'm unblocking and reblocking this one with autoblock disabled to prevent an autoblock on TZLNCTV.
Let's move any discussion to User talk:TZLNCTV, and let's leave this talk page as-is so people trying to figure out what's happening have an easier time. --Floquenbeam (talk) 16:11, 14 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
