[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Customer experience. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. , but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:49, 13 November 2012 (UTC)- Having received your message on my talk page, and having looked back at the deleted sandbox page, I think maybe you were not trying to promote anything. If you weren't, then a request for unblock may well be considered sympathetically. However, before considering restoring the deleted page, I would like to know where you got its contents. Did you write it yourself, or did you copy it from the sources you gave as references? JamesBWatson (talk) 14:54, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
- I wrote the article myself and gave credit to the references that I researched and gave me the ideas. I realize that Wikipedia is not a term paper and will review the style in which I wrote. This is a first time submission for me and I think I need to review the content and be more factual than persuasive. Thanks, Gregg

Request reason:
For a grad class at Bellevue University, I'm trying to improved the digital consumer experience with a Wikipedia article.
Accept reason:
Per JBW above. Well, you have learned how not to do it - now go sort it out... Never be afriad to ask - there's two admins here who answer questions, or the Teahouse WP:TEAHOUSE (don't let the name put you off...), or most of the regular editors too. Read WP:NPOV and WP:RS. Good luck. But don't link to your pages in the External Links - those are for outside stuff. Things in your user space should not be linked to. Peridon (talk) 18:34, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
- Make sure your prof is aware of WP:SUP :-) I made a comment at James' page ... IMHO, the article you're working on does not appear to be a valid topic for a separate article. It's a content fork of a main topic: customer experience, and the details would be better served as a subsection of that article (✉→BWilkins←✎) 19:21, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

The article still reads as a personal essay/sales promotion pitch etc and not encyclopedic coverage of a topic.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 19:23, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

As above, the article is a promotional pitch / "how to" and not coverage of what the subject is and how it is in the world, as described and covered by reliable third party sources. The external links section also needs heavey trimming to meet the external link guidelines -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 13:21, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Possible source of information for your Digital Consumer Experience article
[edit]I found a source that you might be able to use for your article-in-progress. It's from the Journal of Healthcare Information Management. It may be more helpful for an article like Web accessibility but I believe it could perhaps serve as the foundation for a section about the intricacies of providing a flexible Digital Consumer Experience to various market segments. It's a huge huge PDF file, and only one section is about digital customer experience but the rest may be of use as well. The PDF is located here: [1] and the page you want is page 72.
I'd also be happy to help you restructure the article according to general Wiki standards. Have you considered adding a Digital Customer Experience section at User experience? Would this satisfy your class requirements or do you need a whole article? I'd be happy to help. --Wieldthespade (talk) 05:05, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Gmattox,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Digital customer experience should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Digital customer experience .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks, -MJH (talk) 00:20, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
