Move of draft article

[edit]

Your user page appears to be a draft for an article, whereas a Wikipedia user page is for someone who is active in working for the project to give a little information about himself or herself in connection with his or her work for the encyclopaedia. I shall therefore move the page to Draft:Meg Smith, which is the right place for such a draft article. JBW (talk) 22:05, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

After posting the message above I discovered that you have another copy of the page at User:Maxgodfrey639/sandbox. Having multiple copies of a page can be very unhelpful, as it can create difficulties in keeping track of changes to them. Do you have any objection to deletion of one of the copies? Also, there are a couple of things you should know about using more than one account. You should put a note on the talk page or user page of each of your accounts, stating what other accounts you have, and preferably explaining why you have more than one. I forgot password to other account and can’t re-access it. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Godfreymax639 (talkcontribs) 21:31, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it was likely to be something like that. There are various reasons why people create more than one account, some good reasons and some bad. In your case, switching from one account to another with a very similar name, it looked like something such as a forgotten password. Unfortunately many people use more than one account for dishonest reasons, and it is best to say clearly what your reason is, to avoid the risk that other people may suspect you of doing so. Thanks for your explanation. JBW (talk) 21:55, 7 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
