Draft to article

[edit]
Hello, I have been working when I can to bolster this article.
  • Some things for consideration.
There has to be a defining between "N4 highway (Philippines)" and "Most of the highway is named the Jose P. Laurel Highway. The issues from "across the waters" is sourcing. It might be prudent to consider renaming that article, that is a "component part of the (N4)" and entertain changing the name of this draft to the more often used (except on maps) National Route 4 (Philippines) and including those "secondary routes" and honorary names, that are the 3-digit numbered routes, that begin with a "4" and actually components of the primary route, as well as "other" third class connected routes.
An example would be AH26 (Maharlika Highway), also referred to as Asian Highway 26, but titled on Wikipedia as Pan-Philippine Highway. IF "N4 highway (Philippines)" is preferred over "National Route 4 (Philippines)", considering there are many draft references to "route", then that is understandable but there needs to be consistency to avoid confusion. The section Lipa-Batangas City contains "Route 4 then enters barangay Banaybanay, and Route 433, a secondary national road..." (why not N433). Any changes would mean N1 highway (Philippines) would likely also need to be changed.
The rationale is that there is a difference in an actual "component part" or secondary highway associated with a primary route, and a part of a highway "renamed" as an honor. As a primary route there is notability for this article but I can't see having articles under a different name for the actual same highway. I also can't see having an article under an honorary name that is only part of the entire route. This draft has a section on "Intersections" but a main point should be content on the associated secondary highways such as N421, N431, N432, N433, and others.
The interchanging use of the word "component" may be more of what I have issues with. All roads would be a "component" of the primary route they are associated with. N1 highway (Philippines) is a "component of the Pan-Philippine Highway. What I think needs to be avoided is things like,"Most sections of N1 forms the Pan–Philippine Highway except for sections bypassed by expressways". On the N1 article, under the infobox, there is what I see as confusion. An example: N411 is a secondary "component" (according to the highway numbering system) of the primary route N4 and the same with N9, N935, and N940. There is a problem connecting the highway numbers with the prose of the article and apparent "honorary" names. This is confusing to anyone not local or at least familiar with the highways. If we are going to have separate articles on the primary and secondary roads there needs to be separation of them.
At any rate local sourcing, that I have been looking for, might be more readily available closer to the subject, and needs to be other than primary if possible. Otr500 (talk) 18:02, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
