Referencing

[edit]
Is a reference such as an article in "LIFE" magazine considered a reliable reference?
The relevant article is accessible even from web:
https://books.google.it/books?id=tFIEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA32&dq=bucher+1952+life+record&hl=it&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjCqaGgjZ33AhVa57sIHXPiBj4Q6AF6BAgDEAI#v=onepage&q=bucher%201952%20life%20record&f=false%7C
and it is reported in "References" section.
Same question for the book written by Gilbert Doukan in 1959, an electronic copy of this book is stored in archive.org at
https://archive.org/details/worldbeneaththew009216mbp/page/n117/mode/2up
and it is also reported in "References" section.
Is it considered a reliable source? Goonzobye diver (talk) 11:40, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
