I'm not sure where i went wrong. Any explanation or tips would be appreciated. It took me hours to figure out how to make a page. Then poof! It's gone. :(

Hi there,
A7 = An article about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from questions of notability, verifiability and reliability of sources. A7 applies only to articles about web content or articles on people and organizations themselves, not articles on their books, albums, software and so on. Other article types are not eligible for deletion by this criterion. If controversial, as with schools, list the article at Articles for deletion instead.
G11 = Blatant advertising. Pages which exclusively promote some entity and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic. Note that simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion.
Hope that helps,

Hello, and thank you for the reply.

That clears it up a little. I understand why it may have been slotted for deletion after a quick glance, but I remain confused on one point.

What exactly distinguishes the pages listed here from mine?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MMORPGs

In fact, looking over that list is what gave me the incentive to create my page in the first place. I wanted to add our game to the list, but noticed that only games with their own pages could be added. So, I read through the tutorial and tried to fashion a page very similar to others on the list of MMORPGs. I assumed their content must meet the correct standards and so, in turn, would mine.

I would still like to create a page for The Prophets' Song, but am unclear on what changes I would have to make in order for it to meet your standards. I honestly see no difference between my page and most of the pages contained in the list of MMORPGs. If you could point out a feature in their pages that was missing from mine, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm at a loss here.

Thank you.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:TPSportalpage.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:TPSportalpage.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:43, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
