Statistics tables

[edit]

Hi, I've noticed you've been modifying a number of career stats tables of footballers. However, the layout you've been using should be discouraged. Per WP:FOOTY consensus, a layout more akin to this or this, for example, would be correct. Therefore your changes have been reverted, if you've any questions you can send me a message. Regards ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 12:00, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly you should have sent me a message before making further edits to Nemanja Vidić & Michael Carrick. I can see you are trying to be productive but your additions to the statistics table are against consensus agreed at WP:FOOTY. In other words we agreed a standardised layout for stats table and your edits are violating that consensus. We don't need extra gaps between columns nor do we need a background colour for career totals. Lastly use four tildes -> (~~~~) to sign your talk page messages. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 12:53, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok glad you agree, in future when updating statistics tables make sure you use websites like Soccerway & Soccerbase to verify your updates are accurate. Regards ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 13:38, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

HONOURS

[edit]

Hi there HAHAHEL, AL from Portugal here,

can you please not add the numbers in the players' honours? It's especially not necessary when the number of wins in a competition is not high, and it makes for a poor display.

Regards, happy editing - --AL (talk) 01:40, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • No reply? OK, but i also want to ask you (please) not to remove the runner-up positions in the players honours. They COUNT, only runner-up thing that does not count are the leagues, the cups (domestic and international) do count, and third-places in national team competitions OK?

Thank you --AL (talk) 16:32, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for the "comeback" mate, really appreciate it! Regarding 1) you're wrong, runner-up positions should count because medals are handed out (and i repeat, there is also a medal for the THIRD-PLACED team in FIFA World Cup, Copa América, FIFA Confederations Cup, etc); regarding 2) precisely for that mate, if Rooney wins one UEFA Champions League in his career, why add the OBVIOUS (1)?

All the best from Portugal, keep it up --AL (talk) 18:28, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
