A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Hermitagepianotrio/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 06:06, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

May 2021[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 07:30, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

{unblock-spamun|Bruttonmus| Hi. I registered to start creating a reference (non-advertising!) page for the group Hermitage Piano Trio. I only copied the the biography and was going to start working on the hyperlinks, further info, etc but it was getting late and I had to stop. And then I got blocked! I can assure you that this page is will ONLY be used for reference and not for any advertising or paid promotion. Please let me know how this situation can be rectified as soon as possible. Again, my sincere apologies on not realizing what happened. I want to make sure that this account is unblocked, so I can put up a reference page for the Hermitage Piano Trio, which is properly done. An example that I plan to model is like this one: Gryphon Trio}} I assume you don't want "your proposed new" as part of your new username? What is your connection to this trio? 331dot (talk) 14:11, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the quick reply. I am actually the violinist of the Hermitage Piano Trio (Misha Keylin) - and I have a separate Wiki page here: Misha Keylin I don't mind being whichever username you wish for me to stay with or change. Thank you again.

I have renamed your account, and someone else will review your request. In the interim please review conflict of interest and paid editing. 331dot (talk) 14:31, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have relogged in with the new Account (as created for me by 331dot) and hoping for a fast review so that I can put up a proper page as soon as possible. I have indeed just reviewed the COI and the Paid editing. I can assure you that the page that would be put up as just a reference, with proper hyperlinks. No one is going to be paid anything and no promotion is being done. Thank you for your time and help.

Decline reason:

We don't get to write about ourselves or our organizations on Wikipedia. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 16:52, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
