Affiliations[edit]

Hi! Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosing affiliations that you have with the subjects you write about. Are you in any way affiliated with, or receiving benefits from, Serverless Inc., the Serverless framework, Philipp Müns or other subjects you have written about on Wikipedia? -- intgr [talk] 14:06, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No. Do you have any solid arguments that my posts didn't provide value for Wikipedia? --HrvySpctr (talk) 10:30, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, both of your contributions have involved books by Philipp Müns, which looks like a potential attempt at promotion. The addition at Meteor (web framework) added the book to the top of that list. It's a rather specific topic and not a general book on the framework, so surely doesn't belong to the top of that list. Your revert at that page didn't bother to provide a reason, which suggests you might be more interested in retaining that link, than considering what's best for the encyclopedia. It's just a pattern of behavior that seems common to spammers on Wikipedia.
The article you've created at Serverless Framework only relies on WP:primary sources and it's not clear that it satisfies the notability guideline to warrant an article on Wikipedia (depending on whether the book is considered a primary or secondary source).
Not saying that your contributions don't provide value, but they are problematic. -- intgr [talk] 11:57, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I understand you.
The reason i've added the book at the Meteor post on top was because the lowest Book was published in 2012 and the one at the top in 2014. So I thought i have to add the Book on top, because of the chronological issue. The missing explanation was because of the "minor update", so i wasn't able to add an explanation - that was a newby fault, sorry! I see your point and will change the position.
I will also try to improve the Serverless article, thanks for your input! — Preceding unsigned comment added by HrvySpctr (talkcontribs)
Fair enough. Also I wanted to add that such lists of books are rarely useful in Wikipedia articles. People come here to find out what something is, not for book recommendations. But I can't blame you for adding to an already existing list. If you need any help or advice, don't hesitate to ask. -- intgr [talk] 08:53, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
