Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Huffga, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to take the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit The Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! Hi, this is late relative to the start of your editing, but I wanted to say "welcome" anyhow. I'm happy you developed the Edward Lloyd Thomas (surveyor) article which I had started with very minimal information. Thanks, and keep up the good work! --doncram 00:46, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Howdy Huff,

Can you start adding inline citations to your edits/additions? You said: "added reference to movie heck was in", but you didn't add a reference, you added text, adding a reference would be to cite your source. See: WP:Citing sources

Also, film titles are italicized, not put in "quotation marks". See: MOS:TITLE

Letter

[edit]

Is there a date for the letter? Is the letter online somewhere? Who is F. W. Huff? Related to you? > Best O Fortuna (talk) 22:41, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Try to find the date. And, put the daughter who compiled the scrapbook as |editor= . Is "F. W. Huff" the daughter? What does the F. W. stand for? > Best O Fortuna (talk) 20:13, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:ELsr030 copy.jpg

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Edward Lloyd Thomas (surveyor), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Emory College and Surveyor (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
