[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

reviewed a couple of pages currently on the site. i.e. Oprah Winfrey and James Patterson as examples for my site set up. I would like further explanation on why my account is being blocked when I followed those examples. The only thing I see it that they have more accomplishments. I found the site difficult to set up and now I am blocked. I need a better understanding and really appreciate the opportunity to have my user account reviewed 72.49.30.88 (talk) 13:34, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Wikipedia is not a vehicle for self-promotion. --jpgordon::==( o ) 13:50, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

First, you need to log into your account and make your unblock request; otherwise, we don't know who you are. Second, why did you create two accounts, this one and User:Hollyspence? And why did you create the same "article" on both accounts' user pages and both accounts' sandboxes? All of this appears to be soley in an effort to promote yourself, which is not what editing Wikipedia is about. Do not respond to these comments or make any further edits to this page without being logged in.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:40, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

'I didn't mean to create multiple pages. It due to operator error, not understanding exactly how the pages work. I was attempting to create an article. Because in reviewing the pages I used as examples that's how their information appeared. Just as I didn't realize that I should log in so you know who I am. It's all a user issue not spam or marketing purposes'.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Iamhollyspence (talkcontribs) 13:49, 14 October 2012‎

Decline reason:

If you really honestly didn't intend what you wrote to be promotion, then you are clearly so closely involved in what you wrote that you are unable to stand back from it and see how it will look to an impartial observer. It was about as pure and blatant promotion as I have seen for quite a while. That is, in fact, why Wikipedia's policy on conflict of interest discourages us from writing on subjects that we have a personal involvement in, as even an editor who is not intending to use Wikipedia as a free advertising service may write in a promotional way without intending to, as you apparently did. I suggest you consider FisherQueen's message below, and if you do want to continue editing, then make another unblock request, but this time answer the points she has raised. At Wikipedia, we all avoid writing about ourselves or subjects in which we have a close personal interest - you can read the conflict of interest guidelines for more information about that. Now that you know that you won't be writing about Holly Spence, do you still want a Wikipedia account? What kinds of edits will you be making? You might find WP:WELCOME useful as you learn more about how Wikipedia works and decide whether it's a project you want to be part of. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 14:40, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Interesting that your guidelines request how you request an unblock and ask that it done kindly. FisherQueen I appreciate your tone and seemingly wanting me to understand why my request is being declined. For that I SAY THANK YOU! I can't say my experience has been pleasant nor believe what is requested from users is being adhered to by administrators. i would like to have an account, but I am okay with the decision to block my account. I still do not see how my page is different from the pages I modeled after. I do want to make it clear, it was NOT my intentions to advertise!!! I am involved in too many other sites including my own websites. It's not necessary for me to use this site for advertising. I even have my own mobile app. Again Fisher Queen I thank you for your PLEASANT response. There is no more that can be said in conveying my heart concerning this matter.

Decline reason:

Since you're not requesting an unblock, I'll go ahead and decline this. If you do have interest in editing something on Wikipedia other than an article about yourself, you can request an unblock; however, please don't use this template just to leave messages here.
