RoboScript moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, RoboScript, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Idling Online, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:39, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I reminded you to reply to the COI notice above, instead you posted another unreferenced promo involving Roboscript Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:41, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jimfbleak: I sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding or inconvenience I may have caused. I spent a considerable amount of time preparing the articles on my local computer before submitting them, and I did not intend to go against your wishes or instructions. It seems something went wrong, and I assure you there was no ill intent on my part.
I have now stopped posting further content related to RoboScript. Please advise me on the appropriate next steps to address your concerns and to ensure that I am adhering to the community guidelines. I appreciate your patience and guidance as I learn to navigate this platform. Sincerely, Idling Online Idling Online (talk) 10:52, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jimfbleak: I understand your concerns regarding the COI and promotional tone in the articles. I assure you that I am here to contribute to the community with accurate and unbiased information, not to promote any product or service. My intentions were to share information about emerging technologies in the field of AI, which I believe could be of interest to the community.
The model and bot mentioned, such as TrueGPT, are indeed real and functioning, and can be verified through direct interaction or through the Hugging Face platform(or @RoboGPT_telegrambot in Telegram, please check yourself). However, I understand that the language I used may have come off as promotional rather than informative. I will work on revising the language to ensure it is neutral and factual.
As for the appeal process, I am aware of it, but I would prefer to correct my mistakes and improve my contributions before considering an appeal. I would appreciate any guidance or specific suggestions you may have to improve the articles and adhere to the guidelines.
As for the undeclared COI, I can assure you that I am not associated with RoboScript or TrueGPT in any professional capacity. My interest lies purely in the technological advancements these products represent.
I understand the importance of maintaining transparency and integrity within the community, and I am committed to doing so. I will do my best to improve my contributions and align them more closely with the community guidelines. Once again, thank you for your patience and guidance. Sincerely, Idling Online Idling Online (talk) 09:55, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jimfbleak: I apologize for any confusion, as I am new to this platform and I'm still learning the ropes. I am not entirely sure where to find your COI query or how to properly respond to it. I have seen your concerns about advertising, and I am seeking guidance on how to address them, specifically what sections or phrases to edit, remove, or add. If you could please direct me to where I should respond or provide more information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your understanding and assistance. Sincerely, Idling Online Idling Online (talk) 10:48, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The welcome message above is all about COI, and I reminded you on my talk page reply that you needed to respond. Instead, you created another article linked to Roboscript called TrueGPT. Another unsourced promotional text dump. Your opening paragraph set the tone "TrueGPT is a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) model designed to provide actionable solutions and empower users. It focuses on delivering results through RoboScript for active actions and enables seamless integration with various applications, offering a versatile and powerful AI experience.", zero facts, just spam. It's clear that your only objective here is to promote these products, and that implies that you have an undeclared COI. If you think I've got this wrong, the appeal process is in the box above. Any appeal will be considered by a different admin, not me Jimfbleak - talk to me?

Request reason:

I sincerely apologize for my initial misunderstanding of Wikipedia's neutrality and sourcing policies. My intention was to provide information about new advancements in AI, not to promote a specific product. I am committed to improving my contributions by ensuring neutrality, providing reliable sources, and avoiding any promotional language. I request to be unblocked to make these amendments and contribute positively to the community. Idling Online (talk) 09:59, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This does not address your violations of WP:COI. You won't be unblocked to write about AI as you have demonstrated yourself incapable of doing so in a constructive manner. If this is your only goal, this is the end of the line. Otherwise, specifically address your violations of WP:COI and tell us what you plan to write about instead. Request reason:

Thank you for your response, and I appreciate your patience as I work to rectify my mistakes. I understand now the severity of the COI violations I made, and I assure you that my intent was not to promote any product or organization. Moving forward, I plan to focus my contributions on other technology topics where I have no potential conflict of interest. I am particularly interested in the fields of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), their applications, development, and impact on various sectors. These are areas where I believe I can provide value without the risk of COI. I am committed to strictly adhering to the neutrality and sourcing policies of Wikipedia, and I will ensure to avoid any promotional language in my future contributions. I request to be unblocked so that I can contribute positively to these topics in the Wikipedia community.

Decline reason:

Please demonstrate your understanding of this issue by describing the general nature of your COI. You've said you are "not associated with RoboScript or TrueGPT in any professional capacity- but you must be in some capacity. It's hard to know what you should be permitted to edit without knowing what your COI is. As it stands now I'm skeptical you should be editing about any computing technology topic right now. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 14:41, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
