Notability of KKK (Kl Krew Kamp)[edit]

A tag has been placed on KKK (Kl Krew Kamp) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Accounting4Taste:talk 18:48, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's quite simple, really. Your article doesn't meet the minimum standards that Wikipedia sets for its articles. The subject of the article is not notable, and the definition of "notable" can be found at this link -- read it before you continue this discussion. If you want to post articles about your group, an encyclopedia is not the place to do it; you want something like MySpace where they don't have standards about what they accept. Another administrator will be along soon to delete your article. If you have any further questions, you can leave a message at the bottom of my talk page. Just to make it clear: an article on wikipedia has to be verifiable. This means it must only include information found in reliable published sources, otherwise there's no way for people to know that what is written is true and not just made up. It doesn't matter how true something is if it isn't written in a published source, it cannot be verified. It seems unlikely that any of the information in this article can be verified from an independent, reliable, published source, so it seems unlikely that an article can be written here that can be kept. This is what being notable is really about in Wikipedia terms; being verifiable enough.
If the group becomes notable enough that someone writes about them in a newspaper, or features them in a book, then you could maybe put the information from that in an article on them. Until then, I think this article is doomed. Skittle (talk) 19:13, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of KKK (Kl Krew Kamp)[edit]

A tag has been placed on KKK (Kl Krew Kamp) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
