[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Justin Bieber has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/kidrauhl). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:34, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Justin Bieber. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. tedder (talk) 20:51, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added such as to the page Justin Bieber do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Justin Bieber. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. tedder (talk) 21:05, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
What am I doing wrong?
[edit]What am I Doing wrong? i just added a picture and fixed the birthday.. why does it keep getting reverted back..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Imrahil123 (talk • contribs) 14:15, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Imrahil, and thanks for using your talk page. The problem with the birthday is that it's unsourced, and it's in the biography of a living person. As that article says, "Biographies of living persons must be written conservatively, with regard for the subject's privacy." In other words, the birthdate needs to be given with a citation showing proof it's his birthday.
- Second, the picture (File:Justin_bieber_one_time_cd_cover.jpg) has questionable copyright status. It's obviously an album cover, and the source given (a flickr URL) even claims full copyright status. On Wikipedia, it's important that images meet the licensing requirement. At this point, the rationale for that CD cover does not. tedder (talk) 23:11, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as the edit you made to Justin Bieber. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. Orphaned non-free image (File:Justin bieber island def jam my world.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Justin bieber island def jam my world.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MS (Talk|Contributions) 03:53, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
