Reverting

[edit]

I know you claim not to have done any reverting, but I think that you misunderstand what it means to revert. Regardless of how you performed it, it is, by Wikipedia's definition, a revert, and the intent and effect are the same. In the process of restoring your edits, you have twice managed to undo many other unrelated edits. This is not a simple cut-and-paste of the relevant segment, but of the entire article, which has proven quite disruptive. I have started a new topic on the Wii talk page about my issues with your version of the section. Please do not revert the edit (especially in the manner you have been) without discussing it first. Thank you. Dancter 09:23, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since we obviously have a difference of opinion about the scope of particular edits of yours, this is what I propose. I have already provided you with diffs that seem to clearly illustrate that a wide variety of changes had been undone through two of your edits.[1][2] In each case, at least one of the changes was incontrovertibly positive (unless you can somehow defend "Novermber" as a proper spelling, and that the "Four" needed to be capitalized in "Up to Four Wii Remote controllers (connected wirelessly via Bluetooth)"). If you can somehow convince me that you did not revert or otherwise undo valid changes through these edits, then I will acknowledge my mistake. Dancter 10:38, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What you pasted back in wrote over improvements to the article. The edit you referenced clearly illustrates the misspelling being corrected. Your edit undid that. Perhaps I am misunderstanding your point, but I still do not see how you have disproven mine. Dancter 11:03, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Wii.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wii.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

hey.

[edit]

hello. would you mind discussing your table on the talk page before you add it to the article? I don't think your table is a good idea since you removed too much infomation. Also, the old table looked better and fitted in the article better. For now, i'm reverting until other wikipedians can express their opinions on this. dposse 02:16, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:49861520060512 133610 11 big.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:49861520060512 133610 11 big.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:49861520060512 133606 2 big.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
