[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to African Americans does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. I'd also suggest you read other users' edit summaries before repeating your edits. Rsk6400 (talk) 15:30, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! Rsk6400 (talk) 16:54, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Omegle, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. AussieWikiDan (talk) 16:54, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Hi. I have removed a category you added to the above article, because there is no indication at all in the article that it belongs in the category Ethiopian Noble Houses; if you disagree, please indicate why. I will also second the advice you were given in the section above about using edit summaries: They are very helpful for letting people know what you've done and why; happy days, LindsayHello 12:27, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
