A tag has been placed on T3ch h3lp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I would also add, that while your article is well written, it almost entirely self sourced and I can't seem to find the notability. Please comment on the notability on the article talk page, preferably with a reliable 3rd party source. the talk page Sailsbystars (talk) 14:03, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

September 2010[edit]

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Please cease and desist attempts at recreating the article on T3ch h3lp which has now been speedily deleted twice without adding some bit of notability (number of pageviews doesn't really count). It's clear from your user name that you are one of the bloggers involved in the project, so recreating the page again without some semblance of 3rd party notability may lead to you being blocked from Wikipedia. Helpme[edit]

Regarding my article[edit]

Itsbrandond (talk) 17:24, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just wanted to first apologize for my amateurish article on T3ch H3lp. It was very confusing to create because I never knew when I was in my own space, or on the public site. I thought that the first time, you deleted the article I was creating in my subpage and I was pretty upset because I saw that I could work on it in private. I then realized I had edited my article on the public site, and I then started an article on my subpage. When I went to save it, my browser crashed (I got the Google Chrome sad face), but luckily I had saved a backup to my computer of the article. Long story short, I restored the article on the public space, which again, I thought was my private area and went out to lunch. When I went to go see my article (in my bookmarks) (after lunch) -- I again went to the public area (thinking it was my space) and then saw it got deleted again. I was really frustrated, but then again, I realized I had put it in the wrong place and saw that a note had been left. I then realized I had a SLEW of warnings on a talk page, and I got flustered. -- I just wanted to let you know the article was not finished, and last night I was trying to contact someone to proof/read it and maybe help me along the way, but I couldn't figure out how to find any of the administrators.
I am deeply sorry for any confusion (and frustration) this has caused for you guys, and if you can, maybe remove the warnings from the T3ch H3lp article, and give me some time to work on it. I understand that I run T3ch H3lp, and I was trying to figure out how to make it possible for other people to edit the article, and add things -- because I was just trying t0 build a shell that others could build upon. If you could point me in the right direction that would be fantastic. You guys are doing an outstanding service for the world, and I guess my excitement got the best of me. I still want a T3ch H3lp entry, but I am not sure how to go about it. Thank you.

PS: Gimmie a minute to figure out this "talk page stuff", I might have gotten my signature wrong!
You need to review information about editing with conflicts of interest. That being said, you can create the article in a subpage of your userspace. I would suggest creating it here: User:Sailsbystars/T3ch H3lp. However, if you start this article, you need to be sure that it is written with a neutral point of view, is well-sourced, and is notable. Also, to add your signature to a talk post, simply type ~~~~~ after your post. Feel free to ask on my talk page if you have more questions, or restore the {{helpme}} template. Best of luck! I'll get an admin to do a userification for you (that is, I'll have an admin restore the deleted content to a user subpage of yours, so that you can work on it without it getting deleted. Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 17:32, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Itsbrandond (talk) 17:38, 12 September 2010 (UTC) Thank you very much. This is better support than most paid services!! Wow...[reply]
Ok, the article is at User:Itsbrandond/T3ch h3lp. You can work on it there and not have it deleted, and once it's up to scratch (you should probably have someone else look it over to determine when it is), you can move it into article space. Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 17:44, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, please don't take the deletion personally and keep working on the article. Your article was a very good start. If you could find a citation for the stuff in the lead about how it's been noted by ABC News and other sources it would almost certainly not be deleted. There are a lot of pages created every day and it's sometimes hard to tell the debris from the good stuff and I wasn't sure about CSDing your article. You should probably have an admin review your work before posting it again since page creation is now blocked. I'm also a pretty new user myself, so I understand how overwhelming this whole process is. Good luck with your future work! Sailsbystars (talk) 17:49, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
17:50, 12 September 2010 (UTC) Would you (or anyone) have any more suggestions on how to make my article better (I'm still gathering my sources) in terms of wording and keeping it 3rd person, and un-biased? Also, what do I have that should I keep? -- No rush!!!

At the moment, it might be deleted, as it seems to fail the notability requirements - please see WP:VRS and WP:WEB.

The references you are using are simply not reliable sources - we need things with a 'reputation for fact-checking and accuracy' - such as newspaper articles. Twitter, YouTube, etc. are not reliable sources. Also, independent references are required - not T3ch H3lp and Yoggrt, as they are primary sources.  Chzz  ►  18:30, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Try to find some other source that has cited or referenced the T3ch h3lp blog. The writing of the article is not the problem, but rather the sourcing, which is what you need to establish notability. Please read up on reliable sources and find a reliable source that mentions the blog. You might want to look at a few blogs that are notable and the type of sources used in those articles. See for example RealClimate or Watts Up With That?. If the blog isn't noted by a more prominent website or news source, it probably will fail to be notable and can't be included as part of wikipedia. User subpages and things[edit]

Further to the discussion on User_talk:Sailsbystars;

  • There is no apology necessary; we encourage users to be bold, and it is a wiki, so no harm done.
  • It's best not to put your email addy on Wikipedia, yes; if you put your email in preferences though, and 'Enable email from other users', anyone can send you emails via Wikipedia, without them knowing your address (unless you choose to reply). However, we generally prefer on-wiki communication via talk pages.
