Removal of unsourced claims

I’ve been to the shit hole. That’s reliable enough — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:B11A:1C42:E804:8733:4728:AAC4 (talkcontribs) 16:53, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your personal experience is not a reliable source. Please review WP:CS and WP:IRS. Ivgnyl (talk) 17:11, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why was my edit labeled vandalism?

[edit]

I really just changed the wording of a sentence to make it easier to understand. Why is this "vandalism"? Not even a good faith reversion? Just "vandalism"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.6.43.2 (talk) 18:55, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In this revision of yours, you had replaced "Samsung" with "samshill" and "iPhone" with "igarbage". This is evidently a deliberate attempt to damage Wikipedia. I apologize if you had the best interests of Wikipedia in mind when making those changes. Ivgnyl (talk) 19:02, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Why was my edit labled vandalism?

[edit]

I just realized that I had my Word Replacer Addon turned on. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/word-replacer-ii/djakfbefalbkkdgnhkkdiihelkjdpbfh?hl=en

Basically what it does is that it finds words on a webpage, and depending on how you configure it, replaces it with words that you specify. (Makes reading the news a funny experience) I had no idea it affected textboxes on Wikipedia.

It was an honest mistake on my part, and you had every right to revert that edit.

Thanks for staying polite! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.6.43.2 (talk) 19:23, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Huh, I had no idea this could happen; thank you for informing me so I can be more cautious with the warnings in response to strange replacements like those by otherwise decent editors. I am glad this is resolved. Please don't let this incident dissuade you from editing Wikipedia! Ivgnyl (talk) 19:33, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sports tourism, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rugby (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Ivgnyl. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
