Orphaned non-free media (Image:MtvDaftpunkh push.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MtvDaftpunkh push.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 07:54, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Leak

[edit]

Stop adding that Alive 2007 has been leaked. It's not notable to add into the article. Thanks. Douglasr007 22:35, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trust me, it doesn't need to be up on there at all. I went through the same thing when Curtis and Graduation were released. It's only notable to state there was a leak if it caused anything with the final release of the album - for instance, it caused the album to release earlier than expected. Douglasr007 22:41, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Um, no. I can always request for full page protection or just state you're vandalizing the page. Whichever method comes first. Douglasr007 22:49, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm only following policies according to Wikipedia. WP:ALBUM#Leak is the perfect explanation. Please stop adding the not needed info. Douglasr007 22:56, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 22:55, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not undo other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing in Alive 2007, or you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. The three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the 3RR. Thank you. 3RR

[edit]

You have violated the three-revert rule. Any administrator may now choose to block your account. In the future, please make an effort to discuss your changes further, instead of edit warring.Just64helpin 23:17, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.
For the record, I disagree with this block, as I have stated at WP:AN/I. Ixlikextoxdansex, I encourage you to post an {{unblock}} request. Just type { { u n b l o c k | Reason? } } but without the spaces, and replace "Reason?" with your reason. My reason to support: You were adding legitimate material, which should have never been reverted in the first place; those reverting you also broke the 3RR rule but were not blocked; and also per WP:BITE. --Iamunknown 00:23, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock | Putting out information about a cd to be released in a few months. It may be deleted when it actually comes out, but people owuld like to know this little bit of information right now. I ask that i be unblocked because my intent was not in any way to vandalise. I was simply putting out a fact about a leak for the public's viewing pleasure. Again, when the cd is officially released, I will have no problem whatsoever with that note deleted, thus, again, people would like to know about this. Thank you. }} Ixlikextoxdansex 00:31, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

checkY

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Original block was quite WP:BITEy. We don't block to punish newbies.

Request handled by:Crazytales talk/desk 01:01, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, my formatting was wrong. I fixed it.  :-) --Iamunknown 00:37, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To the reviewing administrator, please see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Ixlikextoxdansex.C2.A0.28talk.C2.A0.C2.B7_contribs.29 and the history of Alive 2007.
My (probably final) comments: I do not think the editors who reverted Ixlikextoxdansex were entitled to do so, and I do not think that Ixlikextoxdansex should have been blocked when they were left unblocked. This was a content dispute, not vandalism. Also, this editor is new, and we don't bite newbies. We engage them in discussion. --Iamunknown 00:41, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Even though the person is new, I told him/her that the content was not notable to add to the article in question. The person disagreed with me and proceeded with an edit war. For the article in question, album leaking is not notable per WP:ALBUM#Leak. That is all. Douglasr007 00:47, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's not notable to add leak info to an album article. You, user:Just64helpin, and user:Douglasr007 were all in the wrong for reverting the page many times. Wikipedia has the three-revert rule, which specifies that it's against policy to revert an article more than three times a day. As I can see, all three of you reverted over three times. You got blocked for it as being a newbie, but Just64helpin and Douglasr007 didn't get blocked, presumably for their relative experience and because they reverts were actually closer to policy. (well, still breaking the 3RR policy, but in keeping with the no-leaks policy.) Don't let this incident put you off Wikipedia, just realize discussion is central to improving articles.—Crazytales talk/desk 01:12, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, seeing this post on User talk:Douglasr007: "...Now, stop with your childish blackmail and threats, I will pursue this as long as I have to." Please also take note of Wikipedia:Civility. Comments like that are frowned upon. —Crazytales talk/desk 01:16, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there!

[edit]

I'm glad you are unblocked. I recommend, however, that you do not re-add the material, at least currently. It is apparently against the WikiProject Album's style guideline, and I think editors will revert you again if you add it, even though it seems kind of silly (at least to me)... If you want to know why album release dates are not added to articles, you could ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. Just ask something like, "Could someone show me in which discussions it was decided that...", and hopefully someone will point to where the discussions are archived. --Iamunknown 01:26, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

btw, could you see Talk:Alive 2007?  :-) Thanks, Iamunknown 01:33, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe youcould help me out?Ixlikextoxdansex 01:43, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Ixlikextoxdansex, sorry for the late reply. How would you like me to help? --Iamunknown 02:40, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
