Mike Tsang moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Mike Tsang, is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 13:44, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your review and notice. May I know which part of the article is not verifiable? This is an English translation of the Chinese wikipedia page. I have added in English sources where available and re-used the original Chinese article information and sources for the rest. Izumi2009 (talk) 23:11, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, the section Controversy was newly added and is not part of the original Chinese page because I felt there was a need to explain the situation to non-Chinese readers, who may not have been familiar with critical parts affecting this artist's career. I have no conflict of interest here, merely a wish to present a more comprehensive view, and I have supported each statement in that section with sources. However if this is the section with problems, please let me know and I can remove it.Izumi2009 (talk) 23:17, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm so sorry for the many questions. I've gone through Wikipedia:Reliable_sources and could not find an answer:
1) As this is a translation of a Chinese Wikipedia page, the tables and lists are directly translated from the said page and I have added a source to any additional information (e.g. additional charts). Do I need to verify the Chinese Wikipedia information as well, as it has already been published and reviewed by the editors there?
2) I understand that wikilinks within English Wikipedia are not to be taken as credible sources. However, Chinese Wikipedia has comprehensive pages on, say, each weekly broadcaster music chart, where they have quoted their own sources. Are the relevant Chinese Wikipedia pages acceptable sources?Izumi2009 (talk) 23:57, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your review of my article Mike Tsang yesterday. Further to my question yesterday, I have added in new sources to verify all my statements where possible, including the tables and lists which were directly translated from the original Chinese Wikipedia page. Statements and listed data which could not be verified have been taken out. There are now over 100 source references, of which the vast majority are in Chinese (as the subject person is a local Hong Kong singer). I would be most grateful if you could let me know where else I might have missed, so that I'm not looking at the wrong place. Thanks again! Izumi2009 (talk) 20:33, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
