Attack

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on this page, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because the article is a page created primarily to disparage its subject or a biography of a living person that is controversial in tone and unsourced, where there is no neutral point of view version in the history to revert to. (CSD G10).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting the article, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate the article itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. CSDWarnBot (talk) 15:31, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do not delete this article. It is notable (Ronald Bongo is a notorious securities boiler-room mastermind who was convicted of defrauding thousands of investors out of their life savings), factual (see the numerous references), balanced (there exist no other known references which counter Mr. Bongo's felony conviction), and fully referenced (please follow and read each reference documenting Mr. Bongo's felonious activities). Ronald (Ron) Bongo has gone to great lengths including hiring Wikipedia members to deface (blankpage), tag for deletion or otherwise post meaningless articles on the Internet in an orchestrated attempt to obfuscate and otherwise conceal his felonious past. In fact a previous Wikipedia article 'Ron Bongo' designed to obfuscate and conceal Mr. Bongo's felonious past was granted 'notable' status by Wikipedia members and Administrators after Mr. Bongo's paid shills convinced them of Mr. Bongo 'notability'.

AfD nomination of Ronald Bongo

[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Ronald Bongo, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ronald Bongo. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? NawlinWiki (talk) 15:42, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I removed your hangon tag, because I did not tag the article for *speedy* deletion, but listed it for discussion at AFD. You can post your comments there as to why you think the article does not violate WP:BLP. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:44, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • You really ought to read about Wikipedia procedures a little bit. All your holdon tag is doing is causing the page to be listed on the list of pages for speedy deletion, which is incorrect because I did not tag the article for speedy deletion. Please stop adding the holdon tag. As I explained above, there is a discussion now taking place at AFD as to whether the article should be kept. Please participate there. Don't add the holdon tag again or I may have to block you. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:48, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • You wrote "Please do not tag my 'Ronald Bongo' page for speedy deletion. " As I explained above, twice, and am now explaining for the third time, I did not tag your page for SPEEDY deletion. I tagged it for a REGULAR deletion discussion. I did so because I am concerned that the article violates our core policy WP:BLP (have you read it yet?). I will not remove the AFD notice just because you asked me to. But (for the third time), I invite you to participate in the AFD discussion. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:54, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please show evidence that you followed the steps in WP:UNDEL to contest the original deletion of Ron Bongo. Please also provide the specific reliable sources you used to establish notability under WP:BIO. — Yamla (talk) 16:58, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

As someone who is entirely new to Wikipedia, I did my best to 'follow the steps in WP:UNDEL to contest the original deletion of Ron Bongo' In fact, if you go back through the History of Ron Bongo you'll see that long before I edited the page, another Wikipedia user successfully convinced the community and Administrator that Ron Bongo was 'notable' - the only problem is that this individual was a paid shill who was paid to post flatering and complimentary posts on the Internet to conceal Mr. Bongo's felony convictions. Your review of the History of Ron Bongo will also address the 'reliable sources' issue you have raised regarding Mr. Bongo's 'notability'. At the end of the day, these paid shills win and the Wikipedia community loses when such paid shills are permitted to 'rewrite history'. Can you imagine what Encyclopedia Britanica would have looked like if Al Capone were permitted to author his own page?

Decline reason:

You are not blocked because some other user created a biased version of the article which was deleted. You are blocked for persistently creating an article which did not clearly show the notability of the subject, for recreating that article after being warned to stop, and for writing in a way which was a violation of several policies including WP:ATTACK and WP:BLP. If you want to create a web site about this non-notable person and how bad he is, Wikipedia is not the appropriate place to do that. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 17:32, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know you can't reply right now, but I want to respond to your recent comment, which began, 'your argument is circular.' Yours is the reasoning that doesn't make sense. The article which you object so strongly to has already been deleted. It isn't important at Wikipedia whether Bongo is a good person, as the article you objected to seemed to indicate, or whether he is a bad person, as the article you want to create indicates. Either way, he is not a notable person, and so both your version and the other version have been deleted. Unless newspapers, magazines, and book authors are writing about him, we just don't need an article of any kind about him. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:07, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/JRS-SEC for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:05, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
