GA Newsletter
Hey. December 3 passed, and the bot did not send the newsletter. Something happened? — ΛΧΣ21™ 02:58, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
- Good evening, I apologise for the delay. The previous bot process was stuck and couldn't be restarted. A quick kick has made it progress now. Sincerely, — JamesR (talk) 10:50, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
- Oh thanks. Don't worry :) I have answered your question about the recording of pages the bot has difficulties with. Yes, I'd like to. The we can remove them or notify the users about the issue. Regards. — ΛΧΣ21™ 14:03, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

HBC AIV helperbot5 stopped working
It stopped removing entries of blocked accounts, have no idea why. I waited quite a long time. Then it took an action (I think it was to say there was a backlog but not sure), but it still didn't remove anything. User:Favonian finally removed the entries manually. I thought about turning the thing off, assuming I could turn it back on, and hoping that might cause it to work properly again (kinda like rebooting), but the instructions don't talk about the ability to turn it on, so I chickened out and did nothing.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:18, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, I think the only thing that is working is helperbot7. 5 continues not to work.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:21, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- It's so much fun to talk to myself. I'm wrong. Both 5 and 7 are active and doing things, but neither is cleaning out blocked entries.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:26, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- Good evening, I will restart my bot's process now and see if that does the trick. Please advise if there are any further issues. Sincerely, — JamesR (talk) 10:51, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
- Seems to be moving along now :) — JamesR (talk) 11:43, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

On a related note, I tried getting a version of the bot working when the others weren't using the MediaWiki::API package (I'm a novice at perl) but I never got the opportunity to test my changes. Would you have a copy of the modified MedaWiki.pm that the bots run on so I can work on getting another clone set up? Thanks, Legoktm (talk) 08:22, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
- Appears to be sticking again - normally a blocked user disappears in a minute or so from AIV. IP 108.0.216.91 blocked at 21:32, now 10 minutes expired and no action by bot. Ronhjones (Talk) 21:42, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
