So the first thing that you need to know is that you ALWAYS sign your messages by typing four (4) of these ~ (shift and top left key). Then if you put something, anything, on your used page your mane will appear as a blue link rather than as a red link. Is is generally considered to be a good thing. My interest is anything in American sculpture pre 1940 or so. If you look at the history of the Hiker article you'll see i started it. Also, I think, the The Hiker (Newman) article. Pictures. Who owns the copyrights to the pictures that you know about? If the photographers say it's okay to use them (in writing, or email) it is okay because the statue was first done in 1906 so it is out of copyright. If it were post 1923 then the rights to images of it are owned by the sculptor or his or her heirs. America is not friendly that way. Carptrash (talk) 02:09, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Better safe than sorry is always prudent and there are editors who will jump all over you if given the chance. I don't know of any Hikers that have been destroyed, that would be a surprising development. Although one The Thinker in Cleveland was blown up as an anti Viet Nam War protest.
