Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Swingin' Doors requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Suggestions

[edit]

Per your comment at Talk:The Swingin' Doors: Hello, I am trying to provide information about a San Francsico Band, The Swingin' Doors and am getting a deletion notice. What can I do to correct this? Thank you, Jenifer McKitrick.

  • I would first start reading the links posted above in the welcome message. Particularly Help:Your first article
  • Next please review WP:COI. Your creation of this article and edits to Jenifer McKitrick, both would be a conflict as they seem to be about yourself.
  • As your most recent edit were copyright violations and the current version might be deleted(or just the revisions). See the section above, and read WP:COPYRIGHT. A7 may no longer apply with addition information in article.
  • I would suggest working in the Draft space to start this article, You can do that at Draft:The Swingin' Doors

Thank you, I have made a draft, how to I go about getting approval to submit as an article? Jenomatic (talk) 20:28, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It can be submitted through the article for creation process. I would suggest waiting until the an admin reviews the current article for the speedy deletion. Your comments on talk page will be read by the reviewing admin, so you don't have to keep contesting the deletion. They will review them before making a decision, there just hasn't been an admin that has got around to it yet. The user box you placed on top of the draft is meant for your user page: User:Jenomatic. To make a mention on the article you can place something like {{COI}} at top of the draft, and/or a note on the talk page of the draft/article with the {{connected contributor}} template. You may want to indicate your relationship, former member of band I believe, on your userpage or the talk page of article. WikiVirusC(talk) 21:55, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your patience, this process has a bit of a learning curve, and I appreciate your help. Jenomatic (talk) 22:34, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
