fixing dead links instead of removing?[edit]

Hey, Jtr, and welcome! When you made this edit, did you try fixing the dead links first? If you open the edit history on an article, you'll see a link near the top of the history that says 'fix dead links' which lets you check to see if they can be replaced instead of removed. Hey, Jtr! There's more information at WP:DEADLINK. In general, if you can't fix it and you can't find a replacement, it's often better to leave it in place if it looks like it provides information -- name, date, title, publication -- so that other editors who come along after you might be able to find it somewhere.
