WP:AN thread about Cape Spear

[edit]

Hello Jghampton,

The article Cape Spear (and your additions to it) has been brought up at the Administrators' Noticeboard.

Before you add that content to the Cape Spear article again, you will need to gain consensus for it on the talk page. If you re-add it without gaining consensus for it first, you'll be blocked until you agree to this.

You've been here a while, so I assume maybe a {{welcome}} template will be considered patronizing, but if you're curious you can click on the link to read more. --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:43, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Floquenbeam,

Thank you for your comment. I don't believe flagging me is justified as I simply undid one edit on August 15, 2016. User:Iridescent erased a section I added with the justification "if we documented every self-proclaimed performance artist vandalizing Wikipedia, the project would triple in size." My reason for undoing this edit was that Iridescent was incorrect in their assesment of Duane Linklater as simply a "self-proclaimed" artist, he is actually one of the most prominent Canadian artists working today.[1] [2] As one of Canada's most important artist's engaged in a five year long project about Cape Spear on it's Wikipedia entry, I felt it was of significant enough note to warrant an "In Popular Culture" note. If there is a better route for documenting this than I am open to any discussion about how to go about this. --Jghampton (talk) 03:38, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The "better route" is to bring this up on the article talk page, and see what other editors have to say. If there's eventually consensus to add it, then it can be added. If there's not, then it can't. --Floquenbeam (talk) 14:11, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
