Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Whitmore Lake Harvest Festival, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Whitmore Lake Harvest Festival and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pdcook (talk) 16:39, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Whitmore Lake Harvest Festival, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Whitmore Lake Harvest Festival. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Whitmore Lake Harvest Festival meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Whitmore Lake Harvest Festival. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Pdcook (talk) 18:49, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Jimlovesme, believe it or not, wikipedia loves you too! However, the article you created on Whitmore Lake Harvest Festival doesn't appear to meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Basically "notability" means that wikipedia only includes things that are the subject of significant coverage by reliable sources such as newspapers and the like, and in this case, generally local festivals are not deemed to merit standalone articles (these things aren't set in stone, mind you, but generally speaking). So, I did go ahead and create a subsection in the article for Whitmore Lake, Michigan which mentions the festival. Cheers. --Milowent (talk) 21:52, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Jimloves me, removing the ArticlesForDeletion notice doesn't help you, please don't do that, instead, comment on your thoughts on that page.--Milowent (talk) 02:35, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
