Cossacks[edit]

Although I do know a lot about Cossacks. I do not particulary take good of collaborators, and the title itself could use a bit of NPOVing. I can tell you one thing that my family fought for the RKKA during the Great Patriotic War and my Grandfather went all the way from the Kuban to Vienna. Moreover most of the collaborator Cossacks (and the 150000 is already a number ALL historians question, and all give figures at least a third of it) were Don. I am Kuban Cossack. Finally although we have regained touch with many of our post civil war brothers most of the Lientz Cossacks remain a mystery to all. I mean in Russian chronicles and in general encyclopedias very little is said about it, a minor detail in history. So although I can give a lot of help on Soviet Cossack forces in WWII, (here is my grandfather third row fourth from the left at the famous victory parade in 1945) particulary about Kuban Cossacks, I am sorry to say that I cannot give a lot of information about the Lientz detail.

BTW I am intersted about you. First of all which Cossack host are you a descendent of? Second can explain to me how a Cossack can be a catholic (historically the two always shed quite a lot of blood before the latter finally realised that Orthodox territory should not be entered into)? What does a Ukrainian trident has to do with Cossacks? И насколько хорошое твое знания Русского?

I am sorry for the response, but on one side I curiosity can get the better of me for looking deeper into the topic, but then I have already been criticised for doing original research. However, any info on Kuban Cossacks required and I am all yours... --Kuban kazak 00:19, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Joe, you said my page was self promotion and spam, Hey JOE< please tell me how the page I modeled mine after that you didn't censor is any less self promotion and spam? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JuliaHavey (talkcontribs) .

I didn't know how to leave a message and figured YOU would know it was from me. As for previously having been warned about SPAM, this is my first day even looking at this site and trying to figure it out. what a warm welcome. Thanks. signed, Julia Havey

Joe, she may not have done the page herself, but it was certainly done by her people for her with the intent of promotion, which is why I thought 'hey, great idea' and did it myself--as I do find it an interesting article, even if it is about "me"! Thanks for your help, sorry for my knee jerk comment, as I have said, I am unfamiliar with this site and the immediate negative storm took me by surprise and on the defense Julia —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JuliaHavey (talkcontribs) .

Subst:[edit]

When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template.

Yes, Please[edit]

Sorry about the My Edit Count page, bit selfish of me. Please delete it - sooner the better. Basically, I uploaded an image, then couldn't find it, so I presumed it would be on my edit count under uploaded images - it wasn't. Don't worry though - I don't really mind about it now.
