License tagging for Image:Grassley.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Grassley.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:06, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

June 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Semmelweis Society has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. — Super-Magician (talk contribs count) 19:06, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Society Defunct constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. — Super-Magician (talk contribs count) 19:09, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Society Defunct, you will be blocked from editing. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 19:14, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have trimmed this article somewhat (or am doing so), to bring it closer to our usual standard and style for such articles. This is by no means complete yet, and others will probably do so as well. Thanks. FT2 (Talk | email) 21:59, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding 3 articles that you created[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, Jmurtagh. I see that you have created 3 articles, all of which are about topics in which James Murtagh is involved. These articles are about important subjects; however, in tone and content, they depart from Wikipedia norms. Please take some time and read through the following explanation vis-a-vis editing in this type of situation:

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you.

AfD Nomination: International Association of Whistleblowers[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that International Association of Whistleblowers meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/International Association of Whistleblowers. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice?
