If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Joef8388/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. creffett (talk) 13:55, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
Information icon Hello, Joef8388. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.Deb (talk) 17:19, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is not promotional, it is the same thing that is posted for other companies in Buffalo NY, please see MOOG Inc. Ingram Micro Delaware North and tell me what the difference is. Thanks!--Joef8388 (talk) 14:18, 13 June 2019 (UTC) Joef8388 (talk) 14:16, 13 June 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joef8388 (talkcontribs) [reply]

Please explain promotional when there are hundreds of other companies on Wikipedia...this is the story of an American dream. An immigrant who started a $40M company that employees hundreds in a small city. Take a look at other companies like Moog, Delaware North and Ingram Micro. I would like to know how my situation differs? Even companies in similar industries have pages aka Virginia Transformer. --Joef8388 (talk) 15:59, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosure of employment

Information icon

Hello Joef8388. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Draft:Buffalo Manufacturing: Niagara Transformer Corp., but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Joef8388. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Joef8388|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 19:18, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I do not work for Niagara Transformer Corp. nor am I compensated. I virtually have no connection. I work for Sealing Devices Inc in Lancaster NY. I am currently doing a school thesis compiling the most successful and beneficial companies in the manufacturing arena for Buffalo NY. If you look you can see Moog Inc., Delaware North, Ingram Micro, etc.on Wikipedia which are also companies. So I am not sure what the issue of creating this page lies. This is a local company with deep history that plays just as a significant role as those companies listed about. I am doing the same thing that has already been done for those pages. --Joef8388 (talk) 15:53, 13 June 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joef8388 (talkcontribs) [reply]
What evidence is that? --Joef8388 (talk) 14:19, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Joef8388 (talk) 14:18, 13 June 2019 (UTC) Joef8388 (talk) 14:16, 13 June 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joef8388 (talkcontribs) [reply]
The evidence is simple reading the article in question. Was very promotional and someone else has deleted it for those reasons. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:03, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
