Hello there!

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I notice your modifications to the article related to Dr. Najibullah, and I would really appreciate if you share your knownledge of the Communist-Era in Afghanistan, in order to improve the quality of those articles. So far, I have manage to create decent bios for most of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan Presidents, and any help would be welcome. Thanks and keep in touch! License tagging for Image:AIB.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AIB.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:05, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the comment on my talkpage. The reason for my edit was to remove your signature from the article. Although signing talkpages is the correct thing to do, you shouldn't sign main articles. But thanks for your help with Wikipedia, and please continue to edit articles! Hi. I just found your project listed above, and have placed it on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory/History and society. With any luck you might find more members now. However, I feel obliged to remind you that, as it stands, the project is technically eligible for deletion on the basis of having no listed members. You might look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide for some suggestions on how to format the project's page, goals, and methods. Best of luck with the project. Hi did you take this pic?Genisock2 (talk) 20:32, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That would make a a derivative of the video and unless you made the video yourself you can't release it under the GFDL and use it on wikipedia.Genisock2 (talk) 16:58, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Abdul Raheem Green.JPG

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Abdul Raheem Green.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:39, 24 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 16:39, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Ajmalbaba.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:55, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
