Speedy deletion of How to prevent mold[edit]

A tag has been placed on How to prevent mold, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Wikipedia is not a how-to manual

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Politizer talk/contribs 21:45, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to How to prevent mold. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Politizer talk/contribs 22:05, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(Copied from Talk:How to prevent mold):
No; Wikipedia is not a how-to manual. If you want to write a how-to article, you can try wikiHow or Knol.
Also, Wikipedia is not a place to try to get hits for your blog. Including a link to your personal site, as you did at this article, is considered spamming. Politizer talk/contribs 22:24, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Preventing mold[edit]

A tag has been placed on Preventing mold, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Johnpatriots, this article you created is the same thing as the How to prevent mold article that people have already told you should not be on Wikipedia. Furthermore, you have again inserted your personal website and solicited comments. Please stop spamming. Politizer talk/contribs 03:32, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How-to[edit]

I have already given you a link explaining why Wikipedia is not a how-to manual; since you apparently didn't read it then, I suggest you take the time to read it now before escalating this discussion.

The decision about what Wikipedia is and what Wikipedia is not isn't my decision; it's been decided by the community over many years of editing. If you have a problem with it, I'm not the person you should be talking to, since I don't make Wikipedia policy.

And by the way, I'm not an automated computer. Politizer talk/contribs 03:49, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Warnings[edit]

Please ignore the warnings I left earlier. My mistake. Chamal talk 03:51, 17 January 2009 (UT

I have nominated How to prevent mold, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/How to prevent mold. January 2009[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to the above articles, you will be blocked from editing.
If you continue this pattern, you will be blocked to prevent further disruption. Enough games. DGG (talk) 17:35, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion.
