Re National Bank of Scotland, I noticed that you changed "appears to have been acquired" to "was acquired". Out of interest, there is no reference to the Bank of Glasgow in either of the official histories. As far as I can tell from Checkland. a Bank of Galsgow Company was formed but then the promoters threw in their lot (and money) with the National Bank. My reading is that the National probably acquired the paperwork rather than a bank in any normal sense of the word hence "appears". I would not have bothered mentioning it but for the RBS online site which, I think, gives the wrong impression. Anyway, thanks for tidying up the reference.

King's Wark, Leith

I wonder if you would have a look at John Chisholm (soldier), as time permits, and fix anything that seems necessary. I thought the article would also serve for the historical King's Wark in Leith, which this character was in charge of for 50 years, and so I made "King's Wark" its redirect. All a bit ambitious. I'm a bit perplexed about adding co-ordinates, (at present locating in sight of the present pub but other side of bridge).Unoquha (talk) 15:10, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

These are all I think very big problems (the matters relating to the Scottish National War Memorial). I hope those interested may have a look at my own suggestions on Talk Page on the Scottish National War Memorial section on this site as just recently by myself and this intended at a European level and as from the Second World War. Hi Jonathan. Thanks for your message regarding the EC article review. I had a look at the reviewer's suggested points for amendment last night, none of which were contentious, and actioned quite a few, especially those dealing with the history. Like all WP changes, they'll need to be revisited before the page appears re-settled. There are still several loose ends. I've flagged up the statements that are unsupported by references. It shouldn't be a problem coming up with these, except perhaps in the case of the 'Seven Sisters' where the precise source may prove elusive (but for which we can probably find a replacement). I've been through the whole page like a fine toothcomb and have addressed all the points raised by the reviewer (plus some more), with a few exceptions which I'll list presently on the GA page. I suggest you look over the page to see if anything jars, and where you'd like to revert any particular detail, I'd suggest you do a new edit (rather than an undo) because I've done multiple style tweaks at one time within each paragraph. I've just checked the Ptolemy map which shows 'Alauna' a little bit north of where one might feel inclined to place Berwick-on-Tweed. This presumably indicates the main settlement of the Votadini, but given the map's unreliable accuracy, it begs the question whether the intended location was Traprain. Harris just states that Ptolemy used the name to refer to "the town of the Votadini". (Bizarrely, a glossary of the map's placenames on one internet site identifies it as Dumbarton Rock!). I've changed EC page accordingly. Don't know if you feel the reference to Roman Britain, which I've discarded, should be reinstated. I've been unable to track down the "Venetian" reference to the 'Seven Sisters' in my own library and after a trawl on the internet. I suspect the text paraphrases something said by the Venetian ambassador to Henry VIII, Andrea Trevisano; or it may be from the Venice state papers, reporting Howard's admiration for them.
